The presentation allows visitors to explore the large Float Boat and Ikebana Boat installations from all sides as well as includes viewing slots for the Reeds. In 2002, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art inaugurated its new home in the Donald W. Reynolds Visual Arts Center with an exhibition of glass and drawings by Dale Chihuly. Bolstered by enormous public support, the Museum purchased the exhibition, which included works from Chihuly’s best-known series and was anchored by the 55-foot Eleanor Blake Kirkpatrick Memorial Tower in the Museum’s atrium. Michaela Mertlová získala s instalací objektů Munchies první místo na mezinárodním sklářskéém udílení cen Stanislav Libenský Award 2014, které v pátek na tři měsíce otevřelo dveře své každoroční výstavy konající se letos v pražském Tančícím domě.

Na druhém místě skončila Sara Hellsing a třetím Zuzana Kubelková. “Na základě hodnocení odborné poroty, která se pečlivě věnovala každému objektu, bylo vybráno trio vítězů. Letošní první místo získala instalace Munchies Michaely Mertlové z Vysoké školy uměleckoprůmyslové v Praze. Autorka ve své práci nejen využívá různé techniky zpracování skla, ale přichází i s detailní prezentací svého díla, čímž oslovila mezinárodní porotu.

He received a BFA from the University of Illinois, Champagne-Urbana and studied with Harvey Littleton (a pioneer of the studio art glass movement) at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, where he received his MFA in 1964. Lipofsky is known for his organic forms and colorful nonfunctional glass objects. He founded the glass program at California College of Arts and introduced glass into the Design Department at the University of California, Berkeley.
