TM

The depiction of TMs has changed over time. In the TCG, they are shown as small boxes that the Poké Ball would be inserted into, but from FireRed and LeafGreen onwards, they have been depicted as compact discs that are inserted into the TM Case and the case itself teaches the Pokémon the move. In Pokémon Origins, TMs and HMs resemble floppy discs, but how they work is never shown. For the in-game locations of TMs, see List of TM and HM locations. TM through generations Generation I Generation I featured 50 TMs, with an additional five HMs. Generation II Generation II introduced several new TMs, a majority of which were new moves introduced in this generation. Generation III In Generation III, more moves were introduced, and the TM list was again adjusted. Generation IV Due to the connectivity with the Generation III games, the 50-TM list was not redone in Generation IV.

There's obviously Mewtwo, but it doesn't really count for completing the game coz you can only get it after the elite four. *looks Exeggutor and Gyarados up* Exeggutor's type coverage is quite good - it's resistant to 5 of the gym types (water, electric, grass, psychic and ground), and its grass, psychic and poison moves hit super effectively against grass, ground, rock, water and poison. It's probably not the most useful against Koga though, being weakness to poison. Also Exeggutor is weak against fire, but combining it with Gyarados can make up for that - a well-trained Gyarados can take Blaine down in seconds. Make changes to one's signature. The only problem is that Pikachu can't learn Surf... Well, at least not in Pokémon Yellow. Here's how you get Surfing Pikachu (outside of winning a Nintendo Pokemon contest): Surfing Pikachu is hidden in Pokémon Stadium for the Nintendo 64. Enter the R-2 Prime Cup's Master Ball division (you have to beat the first three divisions first). Once you have fulfilled all the above conditions, you are shown an award screen with Pikachu standing on a surfboard. There is also a GameShark code that lets you access Surfing Pikachu, but we advise against using it, since it can mess up your Pokédex and save data. There are also different types of attacks, such as elemental attacks and physical attacks.
