Liberty Maven: For Liberty, One Individual At A Time. Too Small To Fail: Justice Department Says no to AT&T/T-Mobile Buyout. At this point, I don’t even know why I’m surprised anymore! During the financial crisis back in 08′, it was ok for banks to use bailout money to buyout their competition , but now the Obama administration sees the necessity to step in and prevent this one. Not only is it this’ administrations responsibility to tell Americans and even other sovereign nations how they should commemorate 9/11, but it’s also their responsibility to tell the free market how it may operate. I guess its ok to allow the markets to run free when it’s in the best interests of all the Wall Street cronies, but when it comes to a company that this administration isn’t particularly fond of, its time for the Justice Department to attack! This’ no different from a parent who allows her kid to fight as long as the fight is “fair”, but as soon as her kid starts loosing… its time to unleash the older brother.

The sad part is… most people are cheering the Justice Department on in this one! “This is terrific! Too Big To Fail… Again? In spite of the fact that Bank of America has already received substantial amounts of Government funding since 2009, it’s currently being speculated that they may need upwards of $100-200 billion more in order to stay afloat. This’s rather grim news to taxpayers’ ears as we’re beginning to see how too big to fail is seeming more like too big to sail.

I guess this one will have to stand as my “could of fooled me’s” best up until this point (in a sarcastic tone), because I really thought BoA would’ve pulled through based upon its rather confident/aggressive posture in 09′. In 2009, BofA received $15 Billion in stimulus dollars and dang near bought Merrill Lynch right out the gate. This Bank Buyout was pretty much a $10 Billion dollar stimulus raise for BofA, because although Merrill was up for sale at the time they were still able to receive $10 Billion in Government aid themselves. I don’t know about you, but I can’t help but wonder what the solution will be this time around? ObamaScare: We’re Not Even Halfway There Yet? I Rate This In a recent conversation with one of my friends, as we reflected upon/talked about the grave situation we’re currently in as a Nation, the conversation naturally began to transition into more of a positive tone, as we started shifting towards a stronger solution based dialogue with one another.

At the heart of my thoughts/views, I wound up trying to convey my current ideological framework for our country by pin-pointing the slight and often obscured difference between two words. I sought to do this by pointing out the distinction between the words change , and reform . I felt that it would be important to make this contrast in light of what we’ve witnessed conspire since millions of American voters were driven to stand for it (change) in an amazingly bold way in the 08’ presidential election. And in light of how things had been for so long on Capitol Hill… why wouldn’t we? I don’t know about you, but this isn’t the change I was hoping for? Like this:
