It's an attempt to distill and order many of the thoughts that have been laid out on the Dish for months (years?) Now on what Christianity is, how it has become horribly disfigured in our time, and why we need desperately to recover its simple truths. It's really an essay on the fundamental incompatibility of Christianity with human power; and therefore the inherent corruption that occurs when politics and religion combine (especially primarily in just one political party).
The Evolution Of The Anti-Science Party. A new study in the American Sociological Review examined how conservative trust of science has declined over the years.
The problem is more pronounced among the educated: Conservatives with high school degrees, bachelor’s degrees, and graduate degrees all experienced greater distrust in science over time and these declines are statistically significant. In addition, a comparison of predicted probabilities indicates that conservatives with college degrees decline more quickly than those with only a high school degree.
