Overview of OneNote 2010 – What’s new for you by cupcakejenni Apr 7

David, My experience with OneNote 2010 has been largely negative. I first installed it alongside OneNote 2007, though I only used OneNote 2010 because once OneNote 2010 accesses a notebook, it seems to change something so OneNote 2007 thinks its cache is corrupted. It crashed nearly every 10 min. So I uninstalled both Offices and did a clean install of Office 2010 Beta. Stability is much better now, but OneNote 2010 still crashes 2-3 times a day. http://blogs.msdn.com/b/david_rasmussen/archive/2009/07/15/onenote-2010-what-s-new-for-you.aspx

After playing around with it, further, I discovered that the rotation tool actually manages to work when clicking on, say, handwriten samples I had created with my graphics tablet. However, it doesn't work with files inserted as printouts. Is this as intended?

On the one hand the field is open and we can define a whole new experience for using a PC. On the other hand, most people who see us for the first time just look at us and say "huh?" and move on. Grr. We anticipated this problem from the start, which is why we built the little tutorial that comes with OneNote and launches when you first start OneNote 2003.

At roughly 20 cents a pop , text messages are expensive. But it takes a bit of perspective to realize just how pricey they really are. Short-message-service messages (that's the official name for text messages, often abbreviated to SMS) have a maximum of 160 bytes of data. Unless you purchase a bulk text-message package (which can cost as much as $20 per month), the 20 cents-per-message rate adds up to $1310.72 per megabyte.
