Manufacturing Value Chain. As part of the series on connected manufacturing, we’re exploring the concept of transforming the Manufacturing industry by utilizing The Internet of Things (IoT) and connecting each disparate component within the Manufacturing Value Chain.
This means making sure, users, stakeholders and more are all seamlessly communicating, the goal being to reach untapped performance, variability, sustainability and more within Manufacturing. Manufacturers have long worked to reduce costs, arguably perfecting their operations, but the industry has yet to reach its full potential. An IoT powered solution might be the answer to transforming the value that can be derived from the factory floor. But there are a few serious questions that come up. Is The Internet of Things really a panacea for connecting the Manufacturing Value Chain? Could an open architecture be a strong platform for connecting the Manufacturing Value Chain and running the Internet of Things? The RPA Adoption Journey. RPA promises benefits including increased compliance, improved system compatibility, better management capabilities, and enhanced customer experience.
But organizations are facing related adoption challenges including the perception of substantial upfront costs, employee resistance, setting a realistic expectation of what’s possible, and identification of candidate processes to automate among others. How are organizations addressing these issues as part of their RPA adoption journey? Boosting Organizational Performance via Experience Management.

I can still clearly remember being a child and playing cops and robbers with the other neighborhood kids.
There was an interesting aspect of this game that, surprisingly, continues to be a relevant topic for security professionals in 2020, and that aspect is that even children understand basic identity and access management. For instance, when the kids playing cops would try to sneak into the robbers’ hideout, which was usually one of the neighborhood parents’ garages, we would knock on a door and someone would ask “What’s the password?” This is interesting to me because even as children we understood that it is important to establish identity first before trusting someone for access to our hideout.
I can remember playing on the team of the robbers in our cops and robbers game and making sure my fellow bandits also knew to ask first who was at the door then ask for the password. Please allow me to give you some food for thought on the subject. CIO Talk Network. CIO Talk Network. CIO Talk Network. CIO Talk Network. CIO Talk Network. Richard Kaufmann. Klara Jelinkova.
