When people think of Las Vegas, they think of gambling and poker tournaments. At present, tens of thousands of players from around the world are currently playing at the World Series of Poker.

You can bet that very few of them have ever thought of Las Vegas as a prime location for making wine. As it turns out, one of the fastest growing wineries in the US is located just on the outskirts of Las Vegas in Pahrump. This gives me a chance to add short, 'off the record' style items that wouldn't merit a separate article. I try my best to keep entries informal, frequent, brief and (hopefully) interesting.
