Skies of Arcadia, released in Japan as Eternal Arcadia (エターナルアルカディア, Etānaru Arukadia?) , is a role-playing video game developed by Overworks for the Dreamcast and published by Sega in 2000.[1] Skies of Arcadia Legends, a port, was released for the GameCube in 2002. Legends was also in development for the PlayStation 2 and Windows PC; however, both canceled shortly before the GameCube version's release.[3][4] The game's story focuses around Vyse, a young pirate in a Jules Verne-inspired fantasy world, and his friends as they attempt to stop the Valuan Empire from reviving ancient weapons with the potential to destroy the world. Gameplay[edit] Dungeons[edit] Travel between the numerous dungeons is accomplished by piloting an airship through the overworld, a three-dimensional sky with massive floating rocks forming islands and continents.

I brought this up in IRC one night with the idea that if I got accepted, I might try to run this, or at least drum up interest for it.
Probably one of my first roleplaying experiences ever was with a skies play by post RPG that I was never able to finish, and since it seems there were other people in IRC at least who enjoyed the game, I figured I'd see if there were any interest before I came up with an entire plot. It will probably not start for awhile, but I wanted to see if there were any interest before I went gung-ho on everything. This game will likely be stronger on story than on sex, but I'd like to leave the door open for it.
