Blog Archive » Stamping 411 – Folded Christmas tree. Nov 05 2010 Time again for the Stamping 411 sketch challenge! When I saw the sketch, I started thinking about things that could go outside the rectangle panel to frame it. Although flowers would work, I wanted to do Christmas. I remembered seeing a folded Christmas tree and I thought the size would be perfect! And here is my card: EDIT: The circle is 5 1/4, then cut in half. This is a Word Doc…converting it to PDF caused it to lose the shape.
Tree Diagram.doc Several have asked for a PDF, so here it is, however, the size may not be the same. Tree Diagram.pdf Not a lot of stamping on it…mostly bling! I stamped the greeting from Christmas Greetings in Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla cardstock and layered it on Cherry Cobbler. Sweet, fleeting, innocent childhood.....Little Lilybean....one day when you read mommy's entries, I hope you are smiling and can feel my arms wrapped around you. I have watched you grow right before my eyes...leaps and bounds in a matter of moments it seems. Today you graduated from Kindergarten...I tried my hardest to not let the tears come....but it was such a bittersweet event for me.
I adore every little inch of you....when you're sassy, when you're sweet, when you try my patience, when you love me and accept my imperfections....all of it...I'll take it because it is what encompasses you and makes you my original little 5-year old. Right now I can't help but be fascinated by your imagination. The other day you were sneaking around...in and out of the house, I knew something was up, but didn't want to interrupt what was bound to be a memory to make me smile.
Lots of Melissa Frances on this first card...paper, rubons, gems, sticker, and clear stamp. Last one for today... Melis. POP-UP CARDS | Robert Sabuda. PaperDoll Designs. 3D. Hello everyone. I will not be using it as a lantern though, only as a decor element in our living room. Love this vintage Santa image, and have used it on christmas cards too :) It was such a fun project to do, and easy as well.
I used a template found here. I enlarged it a bit, so I printed the cone-shapes on 5 sheets of A4 watercolor paper for a nice texture. The words are from a Norwegian christmas song. Materials used: 5 sheets A4 Watercolor Paper Punched stars, snowflakes and leaves Seam binding, Cheesecloth and Pearls Snowflake and a Wood Frame White crackle Paint and Glitter Snow The Santa image was found online.
