Olives for Dinner: Whisky Butterscotch Pudding

Until I saw this, my opinion of butterscotch was meh, but turned into something I suddenly needed in my life, so I put on my vegan thinking cap and came up with this recipe. The end result was a beautiful golden-colored pudding, with an incredibly silky texture and a subtle scent of whisky. A modest sprinkle of coarse sea salt over the top upon serving transformed this pudding into a perfectly balanced fall dessert. 3 TB cornstarch 1 1/2 cups unsweetened soymilk 1/2 cup palm sugar 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1 TB whisky coarse sea salt, for serving In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the Earth Balance over low heat.

In the same medium-sized bowl, combine the remaining 1/2 cup soymilk, creamer and sugars. Add in the whisky and transfer the pudding to the refrigerator to chill. Food: Lemon Mint Avocado Pudding. Hello everyone, it is the pure2raw twins.

Is everyone ready for summer?? Jen said earlier on her Twitter that it's super HOT in New York City. Well, here's a great way to cool off while staying healthy! Not sure if you are like us or not, but during the hot summer months cool, refreshing food comes to mind. Nothing beats smoothies, fresh juices, and puddings to help cool you off. Avocado puddings are so easy to make, and you can even sneak "greens" in there for extra nutritional boost. 1 large avocadojuice of 1 large lemon (about 2 tbsp)lemon zest (1/2 tbsp)2 large handfuls of fresh spinach1/2 cup fresh mint leaves (or to taste)10 drops of liquid stevia (or 1 tbsp of your favorite sweetener)1/4 cup water (more or less) Directions: Place all ingredients into a blender, and blend till creamy.

Avocado pudding, two ways. I am addicted to this recipe.

avocado pudding, two ways

I’ve been buying avocados by the half dozen and making this at least twice a week. My first spotting of avocado pudding was over on Gena’s blog, Choosing Raw. I couldn’t get over how smooth and creamy it looked. Skeptically, I made it and was blown away. As of two weeks ago, it had been about a year since my last batch. Once again I’m hooked, but this time it’s going to last. I’m going to interrupt again for a little photography comparison. [left – no light bounce : right – light bounce to the right with light coming in from the left] For the examples above + below, I prefer the two left photos without the light bounce. Sometimes I’ll go weeks using my light bounce 100% of the time. Back to the pudding. I have two recipes to share. The green pudding you see above is literally avocado + banana. The one you see below adds unsweetened cocoa powder and just a few other ingredients. PRINT this! Avocado Banana Pudding [serves 2-4] Pumpkin Pie Bread Pudding - Diet Recipe.
