Christmas Campfire Martini. My apologies for the tardiness with today’s post. Although I took the day off from work, I didn’t get much rest. Apparently someone thought it would be cool idea to go around and turn off the main circuit breaker of a few of houses down our street, ours of course, being one of the lucky “few”.

I thought it was strange when I woke up at about 3:00 AM half-freezing (It was probably only in the low 40s outside and about mid to low 60s inside our house. —By California standards this is totally considered freezing.) Perplexed I went back upstairs and raised a red flag with the hubs; he then bundled himself up and went outside to inspect the perimeter of the house. It wasn’t till about 5:30 am when my body decided I had watched enough Finding Nemo that I better make my way upstairs and and back to bed… so I did.

Fast-forward a few hours, the hubs and I got up, made coffee, and headed out bright and early to do some last minute Christmas shopping. Christmas Campfire Martini Recipe type: Cocktail. It's delicious, super girly and covered in sprinkles and most importantly it really does taste like birthday cake! Sadly, I can't find the original blog I got the recipe from, but I do remember I found it through www.foodgawker.com.
