Hipster Hotspot No. 7 Sub Spreads To Greenpoint. The No. 7 crew are at it again. While the charming Fort Greene restaurant remains a one-off, the team continues to push their sandwich spin-off No. 7 Sub. After a still boffo debut in the Ace Hotel, the crew just opened a boozier version of the joint in Greenpoint—and an outpost in the Plaza Hotel's food court isn't far away.
General Tso's Tofu, anyone? Unlike the Ace location, which is lunch only, the Greenpoint location is starting with dinner before branching to other meals. So if a $9 Corned Beef Brisket sandwich or a Filet-o-Fish with horseradish refried beans for dinner sounds good to you, North Brooklyn is where you want to go. Tyrrells English Crisps. The Meatball Shop. How Pips Cider is Made. | Print | E-mail The making of Pips Cider Cider conjures one of two memories for most people. Sweet and fizzy or dry and flat. However, traditional craft cider can be quite different to most people's previous experience of the product. So how do you know which cider to purchase? Well, one way is to find out how much apple juice it contains. Pips Cider, like many other true craft ciders, contains 100% apple juice, although the generally accepted definition of Craft cider is that it should contain at least 85% apple juice, and be free from artificial colourings and flavourings. We at Pips Cider believe that the correct manufacturing process starts with a good selection of cider apples, and we make our cider from a unique blend of seven different types of bittersweet and bittersharp apples which are harvested by hand from our own orchard during October.
Our apples are hand picked so as not to be damaged by machinery. The actual process of craft cider making is very similar to that of wine.
