Lace-socks-tutorial. Bow cuff Bracelet. Happy Monday! I tell ya, these Mondays sure come quick, don’t they? Well, I don’t know about you, but I have waaay too many old handbags just laying around. I love cute bags! They *magically* find rides home with me from the store. haha. So I was going through my collection of purses and bags to see which ones I could donate or revamp…..and instead, made this bow cuff…. one of my bags {i’ll show you in a second} had a large “knot” on it that had gotten bent and the knot always seemed like it was too big for the bag or something. basically, it bugged me. so instead of donating it to the thrift store, I decided to see if I could take apart the knot and create something fun with it. hello, gorgeous bow cuff. umm, LOVE it!!

Very simple, but the color is rad. oh, and bows are pretty trendy, so this kinda rocks my world. ha! How to Make a Bow Cuff Bracelet This is the knot on the bag. With the extra length, I cut a piece to 3″ long by 1.25″ side. Super easy and simple. What do you think? Burberry Inspired Shoe Embellishments. Maternity or non maternity striped knit tapered dress.

DIY: How to Make a Scarf Shirt. This scarf shirt was actually one of my first projects I made when I started my blog almost three years ago. (HoLy CoW, has it been that long??) During my first blogging summer, I checked out this book on 99 Ways to Cut, Sew, Tie & Rock Your Scarf from the libary and made this scarf shirt. (I guess scarves and I were just meant to be... now that I work at a scarf store. ;)) I've grown exponentially in my tripod+remote+outfit photos, so I figured it might be good to re-shoot the scarf shirt and do it some DIY justice. ;) It's a really simple project-- ANYONE with two scarves and a brain can do it. ;) Also, IT IS SPRING!?

Look at those daffodils! -2 square scarves. First you need to lay the two scarves on top of each other and make the corners match up. For me, choosing the scarves to use in the shirt is all about the color and pattern. With this scarf shirt, you can also pull the off-the-shoulder thing as well. Or untuck it and add a belt with pants or shorts. :) A very easy sewing project. DIY Adjustable Tribal Belt. Tools: Trim / leather / or any preferred belt material (get half a metre more than your largest size measurement)Fabric glue / UHU is my favourite multi-purpose glueLarge press stud buttons (2 sets or as many sets of sizing you require)Fabric scissorsNeedle and thread Tutorial: Note: I didn’t cut the trim to my waist measurements at first because I was not sure how much trim I would use to create the folded effect, so I worked on one end first. 1.

Glue end of trim to stop fraying. Let it dry. 2. 3. Note: I didn’t use too much glue to start off with in case I made a mistake and also to avoid spillage. Now that the folds are all done the belt can be cut to size. 4. 5. 6. Apply pressure by placing your finger through the loop not over it, you don’t want to stick the loop together! Make sure to glue any ends down to prevent fraying. 7. The final product ^_^ LOve <3. Crochet it up! Hair Ties and Headbands. Scrunchies are back!!! Ok maybe they're not making a comeback yet but it was still fun to give my old hair ties and headbands a quick makeover. Here's the tutorial... Materials: hair tie (the thicker the easier), crochet hook (3.5-5mm), yarn and scissors. Oh and a big embroidery/crochet needle which I apparently forgot to put in the picture. Tie a slip knot around the hair tie Hold the two strands of yarn between your fingers. The loose end strand will be incorporated into the stitches so you won't have to tuck it in later.

Insert crochet hook under the hair tie and catch the two strands Pull the yarn back through the hair tie and up to form a loop next to the slip knot Yarn over Pull through the loop you made Now you have ond stitch on the hair tie Start a new stitch by inserting the hook back through the hair tie Now continue to complete a stitch just like the first stitch Continue to stitch around the entire hair tie, making sure to pack the stitches in already on the hook to form a slip stitch.

A while back, the girls in the scarf office saw a scarf belt over on Anthropologie and we knew we had to make a DIY version of our own.

Supplies: - A skinny scarf — I used this leopard print skinny scarf - Scissors - Sewing machine or needle and thread - Fabric, leather, or an old belt buckle - A clasp if you do not use a belt buckle (Like the one in photo) - Fabric interfacing (Or any stiff fabric) - Iron - Pins Step 1: The first thing you need to do is take your skinny scarf and wrap it around your waist to measure and get the size of your belt. Then cut the scarf where it meets around your waist. Step 2: Cut out your neon fabric in the shape in the photo. Here is a close-up of what the finished belt looks like. Voila! Side Gathered Shirt - Tutorial - men's shirt refashion. Do you remember this shirt?? It's from a What-I-Wore-Wednesday,HERE, but it went CRAZY on Pinterest because people thought it was a tutorial.

Well, for all you that have been waiting and waiting on this, NOW it's a tutorial - wahoo!! (awesome pose I have going, I know - but in the other picture my eyes were close, so you get this one) So, let's delve on in.... First you need a big tshirt. The original shirt was a pretty thin tshirt - you know, how some tshirts are regular feeling, and some are thin. So I knew I wanted a thin one so it would drape nicely. Anyways, once you have your shirt of choice, you'll also need elastic thread. Now, I made the side gathering first, and then altered the shirt to fit me. To gather the side, you are going to sew rainbows of loops. It's several half-circles, all looped. Phew, done! Here is what the underneath side looks like - you can kind of see the loops if you look close: Now, time to alter the shirt to fit - - here's the size difference:

...love Maegan: Pearl Encrusted Deep V t-shirt DIY Fashion+Home+Lifestyle. I’m always worried now when I have an idea for a DIY that one of the other DIY bloggers has already done it. Sadly I don’t have time any more to look at too many blogs so please know that if someone else has done this, it’s by complete coincidence that I have too. I have learned over the years of blogging that we DIYers tend to all think alike. So hopefully, this hasn’t been done before HOWEVER, the idea is not too far off from those hideously bedazzled sweatshirts from the 80′s old ladies used to wear… right? But so much better *NOTE* the “V” looks deeper on the dress form than it is in reality BUT your pearls or beads WILL weigh it down more than it normally sits on your chest.

*NOTE* Once embellished, your shirt will have to be dry-cleaned or carefully hand-washed and hung to dry. It’s the price you pay for fashion * Beginning somewhere near the center of your V and with your middle sized pearl or bead, thread your needle through the back of your T and hand stitch your bead into place.
