Try work it out with some numbers like I did in the first comment. Let's say a -2 charge loses a -1 charge: -2-(-1)=-1 (less negative). A +2 charge losing a -1 charge: +2-(-1)=+3 (more positive).

Oxidation and Reduction Review From Biological Point-of-View

Biology LevelUp1

Viruses

viruses are said to be on the border line between living and nonliving They are inbetween. Viruses CANNOT be classified as living organisms because alone they cannot replicate, they need a host (another living cell) to replicate. They do not have cells. Biologically speaking they are non-living things. As Khan said at 0:25 , the question of whether a virus is living or not, challenges what exactly we call life. http://www.khanacademy.org/video/viruses?playlist=Biology
