Social Issues: How Do We Cure Social Ills? H.O.W.

I can write articles, and they are read by a few hundred, but unfortunately those few hundred are not the ones I need to change. Isn’t that the way it always is? You preach to the choir, and they nod their heads, and pat you on the back, but nothing changes, because the choir didn’t need changing. Yes, I can write articles, but I can’t do this alone. How do I reach more than a couple hundred people? What if we sent our articles to our local newspapers? Would you be willing to join me in this movement? I don’t know what good it will do, but it has to do more good than doing nothing and shaking our heads in frustration. So what should we call our movement? May I propose a name? Will you join me? You can find us on Facebook at We invite you to join us there, and share any articles that are related on that site. We also have a website and you can find that here. H.O.W. H.O.W./ A New Hope For the World and Our Country / Giving Back with a Heart

Sorry Mike AKA Cloud explorer for taking your niche intro. A crusade is being launched by writers like us who at one point were in financial distress and sometimes facing a one way alley. I recognize that so many authors are having a hard time putting food on their table as of this minute. What is going on ..? What we know so far is that the economy is not showing signs of relief.

HOW - Humanity One World. (3) H.O.W.....Humanity One World. The Humanity Movement: H.O.W. I have to say the thing in Bill's article that shocked and angered me the most was this; Four times I have written about child abuse, and four times I have had the advertising pulled on those articles because advertisers do not want their products associated with issues that are so depressing.

The Humanity Movement: H.O.W.

As Bill said, it is not about the advertising but about the message the advertisers are sending. How dare they not support articles that are exposing the horrors that some children are not only exposed to but made to suffer through day after day. No human being has the right to inflict pain or indignity on another...and when you are talking about children it should outrage the entire world! Holding sunlight in your hand: a song about H.O.W to see the positive in this world.

H.O.W. to Have a Wonderful Life. In the American Classic, It's a Wonderful Life, George Bailey dreams of leaving Bedford Falls and traveling around the world.

H.O.W. to Have a Wonderful Life

His life, however, like the lives of so many people, has other plans for him. While he unselfishly remains in this small town that he grew up in, his life seemingly wastes away; but, in actuality, his actions improve the lives of those around him. The monotony of his day to day life blinds him to the importance of his actions and, like a blanket of fog, obscures his view of the road ahead causing him to question his destination. Similarly, in the early years of life, many people dream grandiose dreams. Some people, like George, fall into despair as they age if their dreams are not realized. H.O.W.: The Bystander Effect and How to Regain Our Humanity

In the United States, Good Samaritan Laws protect those who go out of their way to help someone in need from erroneous litigation. For example, if a person does CPR on another and accidentally cracks the victim's rib, most courts would over look this because the helper acted with honorable intentions. China is a country that does not have this law. The Case of "Granny Zhang" As originally reported in the Global Times in 2010, 77 year old "Granny Zhang" fell in the streets of China. Because there are no Good Samaritan Laws in China, the bystander effect is rampant. As demonstrated, the bystander effect is fueled by apathy, as well as the fear of being sued for stepping in to assist another.
