Jodhpur & Jaisalmer- Padharo Mhare Desh. By Juhi Bansal I have been on countless trips to Jodhpur and Jaisalmer while growing up and have extremely fond memories.
I even called Jodhpur home for a bit (while I was in Pune) when my parents moved there for a couple of years. It’s always fun to take the husband and Iy to these places and show them around and relive some of my childhood memories. This time was even more special because we had my in laws along who were visiting both cities for the first time plus a whole lot of cousins in law. Looking Back and Looking Ahead V2020. My 2019 might look quite like my 2018 but it’s largely because I copy pasted the best elements of that year into this. 2018 brought much joy so why not try and do as much of it as I could in 2019 (and may be 2020 also!).
We completed our #tenniversary celebrations in early 2019 by travelling to some amazing places in Bosnia and Croatia. On that note- we discovered some new places like Kenya, the Philippines and Nashik and rediscovered old goldies like Jodhpur and Jaisalmer. 2019 was my personal best in terms of the number of books I read- a whopping 56! Check out my top 7 for 2019 here. The best part about this was me trying and getting out of my comfort zone.

K and I were talking about what gifts we wanted to give each other for our landmark #tenniversary year. Apparently, it’s customary to buy jewelry but I am so not into diamonds or gold and yet another expensive electronic didn’t seem to make sense. In the end it was a no brainer that we wanted to celebrate it with a trip. Now where was a big question. Why Budapest?
