desire to inspire - desiretoinspire.net - Temptation

Every so often an email lands in my inbox from perhaps the cruelest man I know. Chris from Welcome Beyond dangles dream designs in front of me and it is all I can do to stop myself from hocking everything I own, jumping a plane and escaping to the hand picked boutique vacation properties that litter the pages of their website. Chris has cruelly tempted me again with a Spanish beauty and oh the temptation!

Splash Of Colors | Lushlee

I love white decor in the home for a fresh and clean look. However, when bright colored home furnishings are added and used in the right proportion, they can certainly add charm and personality to any white room! As seen in this Georgian house in Stockwell , from the portfolio of UK-based location agency, Light Locations. I’m especially fond of the clawfoot tub and the blue rustic cabinet against the colorful vintage painting! http://www.lushlee.com/2009/12/splash-of-colors/

Dilapidated 18th Century Church Transformed Into a Private Home St Nicholas Church Home Renovation – Inhabitat - Green Design Will Save the World

Adaptive reuse projects generally call to mind industrial warehouses and factories turned into trendy studios, or shabby-chic restaurants and bars, but the transformation of the St. Nicholas Church in Kyloe, Northumberland, England has taken this concept of renewal and grounded it much closer to home. The church was purchased not too long ago by Sally Onions and Ian Bottomley, who went the unconventional route when scouting for their newest digs. Far from a Norman Foster style box , or even a classic and quaint Victorian house , the duo instead opted to transform an 18th century basilica into the sanctuary they now call “home.” The church was originally built in 1792, so the couple wanted to maintain as much of the building’s classic architecture as possible. http://inhabitat.com/dilapidated-18th-century-church-transformed-into-a-private-home/renchurch-ed07/

Inner Child: Colorful Home has Trap Doors & Secret Slides | Designs & Ideas on Dornob

If kids could design and build whole homes, what would they look like? This so-called Rainbow House is filled with secret doors, slides that bridge between floors and multi-colored spiral staircases to wind you back up. Chutes and ladders, anyone? Dubbed a “magical oasis’ by its creators ( AB Rogers and DA Studio , the busy and noisy road next to the building is matched by equally rambunctious and interactive interior decor.
Presumably the workplace of an artist and the home of a creative soul, this beautiful French country house is a treat for those with a keen eye. Or those who enjoy the revitalizing mix of nature and the human mind. Cocooned in natural surroundings, this house has a rustic, pristine and a raw feel to it. Semi-clad in luxury, this French cottage is a dream home for many. With the option of working indoors and outdoors, the house inspires vision. A deliberate ancient touch is given to a few items that make the surreal feeling of ‘living in the years long forgotten’ very real.

Me and my girlfriend just bought our first apartment and decided to design it completely by ourselves. " Now before I continue I have got to show you a few of the before photos. I cannot even put into words how in awe I am of Ron's talent.
