According to the official story, teams of four and five Islamic hijackers took over Flights 11 , 175 , 77 , and 93 . Victims lists for the four planes published by CNN and elsewhere are free of Arab names. 1 2 3 4 This fact has been highlighted as suspicious by some researchers describing the lists as passenger manifests. However, these lists are not passenger manifests, but lists of victims, and hence include an implicit rationale for excluding alleged hijackers. In a different part of the CNN.com website not directly referenced by the above-mentioned flight victims pages -- that entitled "September 11: A Memorial" -- CNN describes its criteria for including persons in its memorial in a pop-up window labeled "About this site": CONFIRMED DEAD Includes victims who have been confirmed dead by a coroner's office or the Defense Department.

On only this can the world agree: On Sept. 11, 2001, two planes crashed into the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in Manhattan. A short time later, both fell. Nearly every other detail of the terrorist attacks - from the reasons the towers fell to the actual number of planes hijacked to the blame for the events - on that day has been incredibly fertile ground for the production of alternating theories about what actually happened. On this ground, a loosely-knit group with the semi-official title of "truthers" has been born, and their theories - or conspiracies, depending on your bent - range from the barely plausible to the laughable. Thanks in no small part to the then-burgeoning Internet, their ideas began to spread within minutes of the attacks, and have gained a permanent hold in the lore of 9/11, much like the assassination of JFK can't be spoken about without conjuring up thoughts of the Grassy Knoll.

The air assault of September 11th was allegedly conducted by hijackings of the following four flights. American Airlines Flight 11 from Boston to Los Angeles United Airlines Flight 175 from Boston to Los Angeles American Airlines Flight 77 from Dulles to Los Angeles United Airlines Flight 93 from Newark to San Francisco All the flights except Flight 93 apparently reached their targets, without any interference from the air defense network , due to an unexplained lapse in standard operating procedures. An hour and twenty-eight minutes elapsed between the time that Boston Air Traffic Control lost contact with Flight 11 and the Pentagon was attacked. Until 2004, the only video available to the public showing the alleged hijackers at any airport was a clip from a security camera at the Portland, Maine airport showing Mohammed Atta and Abdulaziz Alomari going through security. 1 The public has not been treated to any video showing any of the alleged hijackers at Boston Logan Airport, the origin of Flights 11 and 175 , or Newark Airport, the origin of Flight 93 . Video allegedly showing four hijackers boarding Flight 77 at Dulles Airport was released by a law firm representing some survivors' families in July of 2004, on the same day that the Kean Commission released its report. 2 At a time when most convenience stores across the country had security cameras, Logan, a major international airport, supposedly had no security cameras in its departure lounges. 3 According to Michael Taylor, president of American International Security Corp, the Newark airport does have video cameras in its departure lounges.

There are many red flags in the official story of September 11th that passed right by the vast majority of people. Not the least is that the official story was so quick to emerge. Within hours of the attack Osama bin Laden was presented as the prime suspect. His picture was repeatedly shown on TV alongside images of the devastation in Lower Manhattan, a technique known as Pavlovian conditioning.
