Building the sketchiest ski ramp of all time - Tracing Skylines Movie Segment. Here's Why These 6 Videos Went Viral. A video is never guaranteed to go viral, but a few factors make it significantly more likely. In the first few months of 2013, viral videos covered all kinds of topics: a serious look at female self-esteem, a silly competition between two Star Trek actors, and more.

But according to Brian Shin, CEO of video analytics service Visible Measures, these and most other viral videos share at least two things in common: "discussability" and "relatability. " For a video to be "discussable," it usually features something shocking or surprising, which compels viewers to share it with others. Likewise, if a video contains something deeply human to which we can relate — even if it's cuddling cats — we're more likely to share it out.

The two factors often go together. We chatted with a couple viral video experts to learn what made these clips the biggest hits of the year, so far. Be an Information DJ - Matthew Lieberman. By Matthew Lieberman | 1:02 PM November 27, 2012 When President Obama considers how to mobilize opinion and persuade Americans to support his agenda, we can be sure he’ll want to tap the power of changing minds by understanding what makes ideas go viral. In building support for tough, difficult issues such as deficit reduction and tax policy, the Obama team will want to know more about how buzz works in the brain. At the Neuroleadership Summit 2012 held in mid-October in New York City, Art Kleiner, editor-in-chief of Strategy+Business magazine, joined me as we presented research casting new light on conventional thinking many of us have about buzz.

Significantly, we’re finding out that what makes ideas contagious has more to do with how we think about ideas than what we want to achieve with them. The “virality” of ideas is driven by people liking and passing on information specifically because we think others will enjoy or appreciate it.

Me gusta: Meme. A meme (/ˈmiːm/ meem)[1] is "an idea, behavior, or style that spreads from person to person within a culture. "[2] A meme acts as a unit for carrying cultural ideas, symbols, or practices that can be transmitted from one mind to another through writing, speech, gestures, rituals, or other imitable phenomena with a mimicked theme. Supporters of the concept regard memes as cultural analogues to genes in that they self-replicate, mutate, and respond to selective pressures.[3] The word meme is a shortening (modeled on gene) of mimeme (from Ancient Greek μίμημα Greek pronunciation: [míːmɛːma] mīmēma, "imitated thing", from μιμεῖσθαι mimeisthai, "to imitate", from μῖμος mimos "mime")[4] and it was coined by the British evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins in The Selfish Gene (1976)[1][5] as a concept for discussion of evolutionary principles in explaining the spread of ideas and cultural phenomena.

Dawkins' own position is somewhat ambiguous: he obviously welcomed N. History[edit] ViraliZzer, el agregador de contenido viral. Steal This Footage. This is the Best Time-Lapse Street Art We've Ever Seen. Take 4 street artists, 1 warehouse on its way to demolition, a camera and unlimited paint, and what do you get? The most amazing time-lapse street art collaboration we’ve ever seen, hands down. Videographer Selina Miles captured the quartet of painters, Sofles, Fintan Magee, Treas and Quench, decorating every wall of this massive warehouse – it’s manic mayhem captured in beautiful high-speed motion. Their antics are not to be missed. See Also Street Art from Another Dimension (well, actually from Daan Botlek) Selina Miles breaks out of the standard ‘shoot a wall as it’s painted’ format. Instead her camera travels the massive space in fluid, unending motion.

The result is a riveting spectacle that has deservedly gone viral over the weekend. The warehouse, which is scheduled for demolition, is located in Brisbane Australia. Watching this in HD is a must! Via Neatorama. The build. To start things off I built a housing for the Lens using some plumbing fittings. Note: do not let your little brother sniff the paint Next using the measurements in the manual I built a box out of oak. My kitchen doubled very well as a workshop. Only 2 people were injured in the building of this projector After a few bloody knuckles and a couple of 6 packs, we had a box built and the wires for the lighting installed. The scariest part about the whole project was taking apart the LCD panel. Finally all the lighting and electronics we combined and cleaned up in the box After that I got out the popcorn and grabbed a movie.
