Galerie Meyer - Oceanic Art celebrates almost 30 years of fine antiques and Tribal Art. Since 1986, the year in which I decided to devote myself exclusively to Oceanic Art I have learned much about the works of art and their collectors. I also learned much about myself and I discovered that deep down I am a collector and furthermore that my collection of Oceanic Art is my gallery. Being a dealer in Oceanic Art allows me to constantly add new pieces to the collection, to explore new sources, to develop my knowledge and refine my eye. Those works of art, which are sold, remain in my memory and I enjoy them with true pleasure in the collections of their new owners. Often I manage to buy them back after several years, only to sell them on again to another amateur.

La Rochelle: Musées d’art et d’histoire
Musée d’Orbigny-Bernon Situé dans un hôtel particulier du XIXe siècle, le musée d’Orbigny-Bernon séduit par la diversité et la richesse de ses collections. Il illustre les grandes pages de l’histoire rochelaise tels que les célèbres sièges de 1573 et 1627-1628 dont le célèbre tableau d’Henri Motte (1881) représentant le Cardinal de Richelieu au siège de La Rochelle . La Seconde Guerre mondiale et la poche de La Rochelle font également l’objet d’une présentation particulière. Des vestiges du patrimoine architectural et des représentations peintes et gravées de la ville et du port à différentes périodes complètent cette évocation.
