CFP: The Practice of Book History: Between and Beyond Disciplines The Society for the History of Authorship, Reading, and Publishing (SHARP) invites submissions for its affiliated panel session at the January 2-5, 2015, Annual Meeting of the American Historical Association in New York City.

Participants will take part in a roundtable discussion on the panel’s theme, “The Practice of Book History: Between and Beyond Disciplines.” Keeping with the conference theme of “History and the Other Disciplines,” this roundtable will explore the close relationship between interdisciplinarity and book history. Hosted by the Centre for the History of the Book at the University of Edinburgh, this interdisciplinary conference will explore the sometimes-fraught connections between the ‘art’ and ‘trade’ of books from the Western invention of printing to today.
