The association of Swedish illustrators and graphic designers The association organises Sweden’s professional illustrators and graphic designers and has some 1200 members throughout the country. It was founded in 1955. The office is situated in Stockholm and has six employees working with administration, legal advice and communication. Tecknaren, our magazine for illustrators and graphic designers is published six times annually.
Our members work within a broad spectrum of visual communication; illustrations and graphic design in newspapers, books and new media, websites, cartoons, animated films, news graphics, signs, trademarks, information and marketing. The association is first and foremost concerned with safeguarding the intellectual property rights of illustrators and graphic designers and one of the most important of these is copyright.
