Game Design Theory

What is game design theory? Game design theory is a set of fundamental questions about games, game design and the game designer, i.e. what is a game? CRM failure rates: 2001-2009. Discussions about failed CRM projects often begin with statistics describing failure rates.

CRM failure rates: 2001-2009

To facilitate those conversations, here's a summary of CRM failure stats for the period 2001-2009. This is the basic list; see down below for more detail: 2001 Gartner Group: 50%2002 Butler Group: 70%2002 Selling Power, CSO Forum: 69.3%2005 AMR Research: 18%2006 AMR Research: 31%2007 AMR Research: 29%2007 Economist Intelligence Unit: 56%2009 Forrester Research: 47% This table lists the year, organization conducting the research, and reported failure rate. As described below, measurement differences make comparing rate changes across years difficult at best. 2001 Gartner Group: 50%. Through 2006, more than 50 percent of all CRM implementations will be viewed as failures from a customer's point of view.... Several years later, in a 2004 interview with CustomerThink, Gartner's Vice President and CRM Research Director, Ed Thompson, qualified this statistic by saying: 2002 Butler Group: 70%. My take.

Think of Google+ as Hailstorm done right, or at least better. (That is, for Google.) What Microsoft wanted with Hailstorm was less “social” than personal. (“Social” in 2001 was years away from getting buzzy.) What Google wants with Google+ is very personal, or Google wouldn’t be so picky about the “real names” thing. One difference from Hailstorm is that Google isn’t playing all its cards yet. Let’s connect the dots. Google’s “real names” policy (they actually say common names) for Google+ is freaking people out, sparking “nym wars“, on the other side of which are my.nameis.me, Kathy Gill, Kevin Marks, Skud (who unpacks the whole thing extensively) and many others. Back in May, I posted Google’s Wallet and VRM here. Reason #9: Now you can actually relate. Such as when your circles intersect. Pause now to think about supply and demand. Article: The Steve Jobs Theory of Customer Relations. Harvard Business Review recently wrote an article specifically discussing his emails sent directly to customers and Apple’s customer service strategy.

Incidental it also links to this site Emails From Steve Jobs.com. Here is the lead in paragraph: What happens when the CEO of a major corporation decides to deal directly with customers? Not large customers, but ordinary ones. There haven’t been many opportunities to find out as, let’s face it, the last thing CEOs or their senior management colleagues or their boards want is for them to be jumping over hierarchies to deal themselves with everyday things.

Communauté scientifique. IMP Group. The IMP Group was originally formed in the mid 1970s, as a research project on “Industrial Marketing and Purchasing”, by a group of researchers representing five European countries and universities; the Universities of Uppsala, Bath, UMIST, ESC Lyon and the Ludwig Maximilians University (Munich).

IMP Group

A dynamic model of buyer-supplier relationships, the Interaction Model, was developed and used in comparative empirical studies of industrial marketing and purchasing within and across a number of European countries (France, Germany, Italy, Sweden and UK). A common experience from these early investigations of about 900 business relationships was that business exchange cannot be understood as series of disembedded and independent transactions of given resources – but rather as complex relationships between buying and selling organisations, where what is exchanged is created in interaction.
