Information Services Group. Health Libraries Group. HLG is a UK based network of individuals working in or professionally interested in health and social care information. Our strength is our diverse and active membership covering all health and social sectors, and geographical areas in the UK. Members work for the health service, the academic sector, the independent sector, government departments, professional associations, charities and public libraries. Students with an interest in health and social care information are also welcome. Several HLG members live and work abroad.

Aerospace and Defence Librarians Group. Aerospace and Defence Librarians Group Closure Background: Over the past few years, the membership of the Aerospace and Defence Librarians Group of CILIP has remained remarkably constant. However, at the same time, there has been a marked lack of involvement with group activities, with the exception of the committee and a few others, leading us (the ADLG committee) to question the value in continuing our efforts for little apparent return, while we are under just as much pressure as everyone else as far as our day jobs are concerned. It was against this backdrop that we decided to have a vote at our 2013 Annual General Meeting on whether it was really worth continuing ADLG as a SIG at all and, in view of the lack of response that precipitated this decision, to assume that no vote was a vote “No”.

All ADLG members were notified of this decision, and invited to either attend the AGM in person, or to register their vote beforehand. AGM report Further actions Final message.
