The Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s weekly commitment of traders report showed managed-money accounts are now net-long silver futures on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange by 44,724 contracts. They added 5,084 longs and cut 141 shorts. In the legacy reports, the non-commercials are net-long 48,354 contracts, having added 5,828 longs and 2,107 shorts. This is the largest managed-money position for silver since the CFTC started its disaggregated reports in September 2009.
