Thesis Tutorial – Hooks for Dummies - Sugarrae. By now, most people know that I am an evangelist for the Thesis theme and that the Sugarrae site actually runs on the theme.
When Chris Pearson announced the newest release of Thesis, it touted a bunch of great new features and fixed most of my previous gripes. Users who don’t know CSS or PHP have more control with the new thesis them than with any other theme I’ve ever seen. It looked completely awesome until I downloaded it and saw that Thesis was now run completely on “hooks”. Thesis 1.7 Rocks. I just got a quick tutorial from Chris Pearson about one new feature in the Thesis WordPress Theme (affiliate link).
It has built-in support for making simple “301 redirect” links. What does this mean? For instance, my link to send you over to Thesis looks like this: Messy, right? With the new service, you can make a simple page with a simple URL, like this:
