On the last project I posted, Mantle Clock Makeover , I redesigned the face of the clock and printed it on burlap. Here is a picture of it below: I had several people ask me how the heck I did that so I thought I would put together this little tutorial to show you! First of all I am using a regular inkjet printer. I currently have an Epson Artisan 810 all-in-one where the paper feeds up from a little tray on the bottom. My old (and more simple) printer is an Epson CX8400 where the paper stands up and feeds directly down from the back.

I have been having some more fun with the Cricut . They just released four new awesome cartridges, Every Day Paper Dolls , From My Kitchen , Sweethearts and Winter Woodland . So much you can do with this machine and so little time. I tried out the new Everyday Paper Doll cartridge and my little girl was in heaven.

If you still have any unanswered questions, please feel free to email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible!I have been meaning FOREVER to do something about the wall above my little guys crib. It looks like this: (SORRY--bad camera phone picture) What is so bad about this you might ask? Well NOTHING --if your name is LANDON--not COLTON. BUT if you are COLTON and this is YOUR bed--and you are now over 2 years old and your older brother LANDON is now 4 and hasn't occupied this room or this bed for 2 years --then THERE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM WITH THIS WALL!!

Whether you are a crafter or a sewing fashionista, you will enjoy dyeing buttons. It’s fun and easy to do. Most white buttons are made out of nylon or some type of plastic. Rit is one of the few dyes that will color these materials. That means you can transform ordinary buttons into colorful accents that match or coordinate with whatever you are making.

Here we go! This is what you'll need. Mod Podge , Elmer's washable glue, and a piece of cardstock. Step 1: Brush the Elmer's glue onto the cardstock in a nice smooth layer. Make sure you cover the area where you will be printing.

I saw this idea at Instructables and fell in love. I’ve been wanting to do this for my kids and my son’s birthday theme was the perfect time! So first you make your 2 story wall around whatever space you want. I went big, but I usually do.

I have high hopes that Fall will be hitting my part of the country soon. We’re still hitting triple digits each day, but our evenings are just barely making it to bearable. So on the thoughts of Fall I decided to make a new Halloween craft. I had some scrap 2×8 that I white washed with watered down craft paint and made a festive Halloween design. Who doesn’t like a cute skeleton! But there is a backside to the wood that is just a great as the front.

If there’s one thing that needs improvement in my mommy-ing , it’s to enjoy doing crafts with the kids. As the kid’s homeschool teacher I do different crafts with them, but truth be told, I don’t enjoy it that much. In fact, if given a choice, I always pick the least messy craft. Doing crafts really brings joy to the kids, but I get frustrated with them mess. I mean, the house is messy enough without getting out the glue and the yarn, the paint and the play-doh, you know? I’ve needed help and there have been a couple of books that have been helpful:
