About | Mary Aiken | CyberPsychologist. I am a CyberPsychologist and Research Fellow at the Institute of Leadership, RCSI, and Director of the RCSI CyberPsychology Research Centre. I am a Sensemaking Fellow at the US IBM Network Science Research Center, a collaboration among scholars from IBM, MIT, Harvard, Brown and Columbia Universities, providing access regarding information technology (e.g. Watson, Sensemaking, Advanced Analytics, Streams Computing, Cloud, etc.). CyberPsychology is an emerging field within applied psychology, focusing on Internet psychology; virtual environments, artificial intelligence, gaming, digital convergence, mobile communications and networking devices. My current work focuses on behavioural escalation online, undertaken in conjunction with INTERPOL and a number of International police forces. It’s no surprise that, amongst the hundreds of thousands of apps on the market and the high levels of technical innovation and creativity on display, you will uncover some peculiar creations.
To give you a flavour of what's on offer, we’ve scanned the app store shelves to retrieve some of the weirdest apps around. Poetry in Schools: Cottenham Village College 26 Nov In November 2012 I ran a poetry project with artist Inja in Cottenham Village College Sixth Form Centre, organised by Start Arts – The aim of the workshops was for the students to feel more ownership of their new school building, to respect it and each other. We ran a days poetry workshop with the students, after which we took snapshots of their work and exhibited these in various hidden and humorous locations around the school as part of the Rheebridge Art Exhibition.
