Chaque pièce est une oeuvre utopique en réponse au paysage. Nils Udo est né à Lauf, Bavière (Allemagne), en 1937. Depuis 1972 il se consacre exclusivement à la nature et à la création de site en utilisant uniquement des matériaux naturels. Son objectif est de réaliser ce qui est possible dans la nature mais qui n’a jamais littéralement existé, une oeuvre utopique, magnifique et lyrique. Mêlant sculpture éphémère, installation précaire et grand format photographique, les œuvres de Nils Udo sont produites dans et avec la nature.

At the same time, it may represent an aesthetic "timberline" either in a built-up or in a natural environment. I try to allow for multiple interpretations of my works: they do not preach loudly. My working techniques are a direct continuation of the traditional Finnish itch for "hands-on" methods, in which in one form or another, materials derived from nature were always used.
