Daily Life by ~Ennokni on deviantART. The Mechanics of Comics - Vectortuts+ A few times a each month we revisit some of our reader’s favorite posts from throughout the history of Vectortuts+. This tutorial by Ian Yates was first published on March 17th 2009. As an audience we accept comics for what they are; a medium, conveyors of information. What we less often realize is the technicality and process of how that information has been communicated to us. This is a good thing. When the artist gets it right, the comic book reader becomes immersed in what's being told - not how. Introduction I should begin by saying that my reference to comics covers a much broader definition than just comics. What's this all about?

You'll be presented with more options (and therefore decisions) regarding page layout as the strips become larger, but what is the purpose of these decisions? Don't Make Me Think! User Friendly the Comic Strip - The Daily Static. The Joy of Tech! The Joy of Tech is a comic about technology and pop culture, created by Nitrozac and Snaggy, and updated three times a week. We like to feature the people and events that are making today's tech and pop culture news. We've been making comics on the web since early 1999, starting off with After Y2K, and then The Joy of Tech, which is now in its whoa... 17th year! We make The Joy of Tech using Apple computers, mostly on a MacBook Pro and iMac, running Mac OS X. We use software from Apple, Adobe, BBedit, OpenOffice.org, and others, including Microsoft (yep, we do use Microsoft Office for Mac on occasion). Nitrozac uses a Wacom tablet to draw her illustrations. Mark Rosenfelder's Metaverse. Howtoons.
