Two postdoctoral positions are available at Imperial College London, to work under the supervision of Dr Yiannis Demiris on machine learning algorithms for human-robot interaction in pediatric ward settings. A new EU FP7 project, in collaboration with several european partners including CNR, DFKI, GOSTAI, Hertfordshire U., Plymouth U., San Raffaele Hospital, TNO and VUB, is commencing on the 1st of March 2010. It will research adaptive strategies for sustaining a long-term social interaction between robots (e.g. the NAO humanoids) and children.
