Just for Fun! SurfEasy | Plug in Privacy by Team SurfEasy. Check out our new videos! Our friends at The Buzz Lab made some great videos that help explain some of the ways to use SurfEasy to protect your privacy. You can see all of them on our Vimeo page or watch the one below that explains how SurfEasy leaves nothing behind. Hey Kickstarters, thanks for checking out our project! We’ve spent the last 7 months developing SurfEasy to make it plug and play easy for anyone to secure their online privacy and freedom on virtually any computer or network. Now we need your help to get them produced. SurfEasy is designed to do 4 things really simply: 1. 2. 3. 4. How many different computers or networks do you use during the course of a week or month to access your online life? SurfEasy is a combination of a unique USB key and custom software.

Nearly as thin as a credit card, the SurfEasy USB key and holder are designed to be easily carried in your purse or wallet. Why a credit card? Teagueduino is an open source electronic board and interface that allows you to realize creative ideas without soldering or knowing how to code, while teaching you the ropes of programming and embedded development (like arduino). Teagueduino is designed to help you discover your inner techno-geek and embrace the awesomeness of making things in realtime — even if you’ve only ever programmed your VCR. Teagueduino makes making things really simple. Want to build a light-controlled alarm clock? A harmonic music generator or a light that changes color based on temperature?

How about a magnetic field meter or a robotic frog? These are just a few of the things that have been created so far, and with integrated project sharing you can always share your work or see the latest things being built as you go! Just plug in a sensor to one of the input ports (for example, a knob), hook up an output device (a speaker, perhaps?) Teagueduino makes learning about electronics and programming intuitive. Magnic Light: Get New Energy! by Dirk Strothmann. Magnic Light is the first compact contactless bicycle dynamo - a new invention which we believe has the potential to revolutionize bicycle illlumination.

Magnic Light is so powerful and looks so magic at first glance that most people search for a trick behind. They can't believe a dynamo can produce electric energy without touching the wheels. There are some on the market but they need magnets attached to the wheels and they don't produce constant bright light. The Magnic Light dynamo does not need any magnets attached to the wheels and it produces enough energy for a brilliant light comparable to the best hub dynamos available, while beating the efficiency of hub dynamos by a wide margin. This means Magnic Light has the comfort of a strong battery light (lightweight, no cables, no friction and hence nearly no decelaration, no noise) without needing batteries any more! The following is from Update No.13- because of its relevance it is included also here: ---end of Update 13 ----

Quadshot – an aerobatic blend of RC helis and planes by The Quadshot Team. We will produce different flavors of the Quadshot for people with different interests: The Mocha: the best model for people most interested in flying - we think it is the most capable and fun R/C aircraft ever! This version will include everything you need, including the fully-assembled Quadshot, a radio transmitter, lithium-polymer battery, and charger. While ready to fly out of the box, the Mocha still has room to hack!

It includes a streamlined version of Lisa (called Lia) featuring through-hole solder connectors, which make it simpler to connect up accessories like GPS or XBee modules. To keep costs down, Lia does not include some components that are not used by the Quadshot, namely the magnetometer and barometer sensors, and CAN and I2C communication support. The Espresso: for R/C and software enthusiasts interested in hacking with the aircraft. The Kopi Luwak: for controls researcher and hardcore hackers.

In addition to complete vehicles, we will offer: What is the production plan? Ninja Blocks: Connect your world with the web. by Ninja Blocks. Follow us on Facebook or Twitter. LilyPad ~ Using Light to Power All Our Mobile Devices by David Foster. The Sunny Bells & Whistles of the LilyPad We call our product the LilyPad. The LilyPad uses new solar ink technology to convert outdoor and indoor light into usable energy to continually charge tablets such as the Apple iPad. And it does a lot more than that... The LilyPad offers HDMI Output for the iPad with 7.1 digital audio built in. Do a PowerPoint off a projector and play movies on your big screen. Right at your fingertips are three small stainless steel pegs built into the back to prop the iPad into different positions. This solar powered case is charging your battery whenever light is shimmering around you. Side thought: Why do they call them wireless phones anyway when we're stuck plugged into a wall every day with a wire in our phone? There are a lot of variables and we can provide more detail for those who know what a LUX is but we felt this was a fair number. Apple makes amazing products not only because of their creativity but also because of how meticulous they are.

The PowerPot by David Toledo. Hello, and thank you for checking out our project! The PowerPot is a a portable electric generator that doubles as a cooking pot. It can be used indoors or outside and works with any fuel source. Unlike solar power, The PowerPot works day or night, rain or shine to bring you the electricity you need to keep charging, anytime, anywhere! We've reached our final stages of prototyping and it is time to bring this wonderful device to the market. With your help, we hope to get Power Pots into the hands of the people who need it most, and onto your own stove or campfire! Simply put, The PowerPot transforms the heat from cooking into electricity with no moving parts. Paul and I are both materials science engineers and avid campers. Right now, we are launching two models, the PowerPot V and the PowerPot X, which respectively produce 5 and 10 watts of usable electricity.

The PowerPot X is a typical kitchen-style pot, with integrated thermoelectric technology that makes it a 10W generator. Romo– The Smartphone Robot by Romotive. *Get the new iPhone App! * Thanks for stopping by! We're Romotive, a.k.a Peter Seid & Phu Nguyen. Growing up, we were infatuated with robots from TV and movies. We wanted robots that we could play with and command.

So we decided to do something about it. Romotive builds accessible, highly functional, and flexible robotics platforms that are powered by a supercomputer already carried by millions–the smartphone. Our robotics platform adds everything that the smartphone is missing–movement, accessories, and physical capabilities that a true robot needs. But unlike the lame single-purpose machines out there for sale today, our robots will also be able to learn, grow, and change, both by adding new hardware modules to the platform, and more importantly, by bring to people everywhere a true "app store" for robots, where robots can quickly gain functionalities based on the app they are running (and you can even code your own). We need your help to produce the first batch of robots! Romo's Hardware. GoPano micro - Capture 360º videos from an iPhone 4 by Michael Rondinelli. Like Bitbanger Labs on Facebook Remee has been selected as a finalist for the William McShane Fund, by Buckyballs & Brookstone! If you think Remee deserves to be available at Brookstone, vote here! Yes, really! For nearly as long as recorded human history, the idea of consciously recognizing and controlling our dreams has been around.

From the Hindu Upanishads to Aristotle's On Dreams, people have been puzzling out the mysteries of lucid dreaming for centuries. To us, this is kind of a shame, sort of like being unaware of the existence of books or music. This is an easy one. There's a lot more to Lucid Dreaming than simply acknowledging that it's real and crossing your fingers. Boom. Here's some great info for people new to the concept: WNYC's Radiolab - We've been listening to Radiolab for ages, so we thought it was great when they recently released a short about someone using lucid dreaming to overcome a recurring nightmare.
