The rise and fall of the rows does something quite wonderful to the colour play, but adding in this "interlocking" colour sequence made it even more fun. Does this wreath say happy! The roses were made following a free pattern from Lion Brand Yarn. I wanted a plain white wreath for a clean, uncluttered look to contrast with the busy and colorful roses so I bought a flat wooden circle (18-inches) and painted it white. When the paint dried, I wrapped it in strips of white fabric (actually strips cut from an old oxford men's shirt). Hot glue was used to attach the roses and leaves. I finished it last night at 10pm after a marathon of hard core, fiddly stitching. The stitching on of 100+ little bits was a real mare and it was a good job I was so obsessed with getting it done or else I might have given up. But hey, it's done now, and if I say so myself it is rather fabulous.
