confession: i have always been a peek-er, a snoop if you will. when you invite me to your house for dinner and i ask to use the bathroom, i am the one who peeks behind your shower curtain to see what kind of shampoo and conditioner you use. i feel a little creepy saying so, but i bet many of you are little snoops yourselves. i am the one that while out on an evening walk, will look into your open windows to see what your home looks like. close your curtains if this bothers you because i cannot help but have a good look. this is what i love about the selby . the detailed glances into some of the most unique homes and spaces out there and without that guilty "i'm a creepy snoop" feeling.

I’m so excited to share my Oscar printables for this year! I wasn’t sure if I was even going to do them but I’ve been getting a ton of requests for them and I got really excited about updating the set. The theme this year is black, white, gold and kraft paper. I know, super original, but I think the design is a playful mix of formal and slightly rustic hints.sfgirlbybay - bohemian modern style from a san francisco girl
i’m so addicted to instagram . what about you? i took this one the other day. “straws. making things better since 1888. yes, I had to look that up but now we all know.” happy friday everyone! have a great weekend, and i’ll see you back here on monday! the view from here this week:After my post on the overly glamourous facade of design blogs , a minor storm cooked up in the Swedish design blogosphere. It all started with this post written by Frida at Trendenser, where she totally misinterpreted the whole discussion and made it into something completely different, and then her readers starting making lots of posts telling everyone how they don't want to see dirty dishes on design blogs. As if someone ever suggested that? If you are one of those people who thinks this discussion is about posting ugly stuff, please read this post , and understand that it is all about showing your more human side, not about showing bad photos of your messy home. I added the instagram widget here on my blog, not to make things uglier, but to give you a glimpse of my everyday life, since I never post about that. If you think those photos are totally apalling, you don't have to look.
