This weekend we were doing bubble activities galore: playing and printing with bubbles. Cassie enjoyed both. What inspired us to do this was when we were at friend's house and they had Crayola Colored Bubbles. When you play with these bubbles they actually are colors. This was cool, but I will warn you that these colors get all over clothes and pavement/patios. Even though they are washable I would still wear old clothes. Well, we tried to make these bubbles with paint and it didn't work. (FAIL) (Crayola must have a secret ingredient!) First you need some water, tempera paint, and dish soap.

We mixed about a 1/2 cup of water, 2 Tablespoons of paint, and a few squirts of dish soap in each container. Then add a straw to each container and make sure you blow into the mixture. Once you have a huge bubble foam on the top of the container you are ready to lay a paper on top to print the bubbles. Here is our best bubble print.... we made lots and lots. I made the bubble prints into cards. Heel mooi. ScribblerToo :: Mario Klingemann update :: zefrank. Song Lyric Wall Art / D.I.Y. Project. A couple weeks ago, I found a paint-by-number at an unbeatable price. I can't pass these things up even though I already owned this particular design. I thought that I could maybe use it to make a fun D.I.Y., but my new rule is that all thrifts that I purchase with the intent of restyling need to get done right away. I have way too many half finished projects in my life. With that little bit of motivation I came up with a fun D.I.Y. to display some of my favorite song lyrcis in our newlywed home.

Here's how I did it... I displayed our piece in our bedroom, on Jeremy's side of the bed. A couple weeks ago, I found a paint-by-number at an unbeatable price. Exercises. The fallen Princesses of Dina Goldstein | Yatzer™ Photo © Dina Goldstein Parent advisory: the following photos are certainly not for the faint-hearted! All fairy tales have good endings, don’t they?

At least that’s what everybody wanted us to believe till now. Well, it’s time to reveal the aching truth: reality always is stronger than fiction and Yatzer, after having spent loads of money on private detectives, finally found where all those Disney princesses have ended up. Life didn’t treat well snow white, four children and a lazy husband is something that cannot be handled easily. Amazing Art Works Based On Children’s Drawings. 35 Hilarious Illustrations by Glennz. Last June, the Sifter did a post on the awesome work of artist and illustrator extraordinairre, Glenn Jones aka Glennz. Glenn is a graphic designer and illustrator from Auckland, New Zealand. ‘GLENN’ from ‘NZ’ = GLENNZ; which was his user name on the T-shirt design site Threadless.com. What started as a hobby quickly became a booming success, eventually leading to the launch of his own t-shirt site where he now sells all of his designs. Today, it’s time for a follow-up as Glenn so much awesome work, an update was necessary!

If you enjoyed this article, the Sifter highly recommends: 25 Hilarious Illustrations by Glennz. Imagine Pot Was Legal. How Would You Brand It? Woeful state budgets have relit the long-burning debate about pot legalization---couldn't California rescue itself by making weed legal, then taxing it? Meanwhile, more than 40% of Americans now favor legalization--which is the highest portion since the 1980s; Nate Silver, at FiveThirtyEight, has watched the trends and estimates that popular support will become overwhelming in 15 years time. So Print, the hoary graphic-design magazine, posed a challenge to four top designers: How should the package of legal weed actually look? Each of them took a radically different approach.

Lust, a graphic design practice in Amsterdam, tackled the controversy of the product head-on---albeit in a very dry, very arch manner. The New York office of Base worked with its branches in Europe, to create a goofy nod towards weed's illegal past, with containers made from repurposed packaging from other brands--in other words, a reference to the stash boxes ubitquitous in dorm rooms all over the country: FELIX BLOMMESTIJN. TrustoCorp – Satirical Upstart Art. TrustoCorp. It sounds as if it might be a global organisation bent on domination from a film such as RoboCop or Blade Runner and perhaps they may just as well be. Although the truth is somewhat different very little is known about this mysterious artist (or perhaps collective). One thing is known – TrustoCorp’s work is becoming more and more recognized and popular. There are some for sure who know who TrustoCorp is (or are) they are keeping their lips tight shut. That aside, there is some information we can impart about the mysterious TrustoCorp.

Quite what they want is also something of a mystery – however it is perfectly likely that they may not want anything more than to brighten up people’s day albeit in a somewhat mischievous manner. Although the satire is there – and it is sharp – it is directed at humanity in general and not at specific individuals, although you might occasionally recognize yourself as a target in their work. Adam Beane is quite unique sculptor. Since beginning sculpting in 2002 he is known for dynamic compositions, action poses, nuanced drapery work and his ability to capture likenesses with expressions. For the work he uses CX5, a tremendously versatile material he developed which handles like clay when warm but is hard as plastic when cool. In this collection you will find mini copies of famous people and will be surprised how unbelievable realistic they look. Many of them were made for toys companies and may be you could find beautiful works of Adam Beane in supermarkets.

It’s a simple idea: Find some bad art, whether original or a print, for a song at a thrift store, then modify it to make, if not “better art,” then at least something that’s more entertaining to look at. (Is it the same thing? Yeah, that sounds like a productive argument.) Anyway. To quote a great sage, “there’s a lot of guys doing it, but only one guy can be the best.”

Her work received 1st prize in category “Beauty: Pro” at the International Photography Awards. Notes about the artist (published at Flickr): “I always wanted to be a painter…I came to NYC when I was 17 to study Fine Arts at SVA… I sweated over large canvases, night after night, creating hyper realistic oil-paintings of nude men and women.

I was angry, full of vigour, and aggressively against anything untraditional and “modern”. In the haze of hand stretching my canvases and egg-yolking my oil paints, I swore my lone alliance against photography, computers, and and God forbit, Photoshop! After traveling the World for 3 years as a model, I came back to NYC and discovered that I liked being behind the camera a lot more than being in front of it… and well, even more that I liked being behind a canvas board. These days I view my photography as the best way to express myself.
