This weekend we were doing bubble activities galore: playing and printing with bubbles. Cassie enjoyed both. What inspired us to do this was when we were at friend's house and they had Crayola Colored Bubbles . When you play with these bubbles they actually are colors. This was cool, but I will warn you that these colors get all over clothes and pavement/patios. Even though they are washable I would still wear old clothes.

A couple weeks ago, I found a paint-by-number at an unbeatable price. I can't pass these things up even though I already owned this particular design. I thought that I could maybe use it to make a fun D.I.Y., but my new rule is that all thrifts that I purchase with the intent of restyling need to get done right away.

The artist and architect Didier Faustino 's Doubling Happiness turns a billboard into a swing set. Rather than prompting passers-by to purchase something, it simply asks them to play. Or, in the artist's elevated parlance: Double Happiness responds to the society of materialism where individual desires seem to be prevailing over all. This nomad piece of urban furniture allows the reactivation of different public spaces and enables inhabitants to reappropriate fragments of their city. They will both escape and dominate public space through a game of equilibrium and desequilibrium.

Woeful state budgets have relit the long-burning debate about pot legalization---couldn't California rescue itself by making weed legal, then taxing it? Meanwhile, more than 40% of Americans now favor legalization--which is the highest portion since the 1980s; Nate Silver, at FiveThirtyEight, has watched the trends and estimates that popular support will become overwhelming in 15 years time. So Print , the hoary graphic-design magazine, posed a challenge to four top designers: How should the package of legal weed actually look?
TrustoCorp. It sounds as if it might be a global organisation bent on domination from a film such as RoboCop or Blade Runner and perhaps they may just as well be. Although the truth is somewhat different very little is known about this mysterious artist (or perhaps collective).
