A Styled Seaside Wedding & Love and Lavender. Today’s post is one of the cutest photoshoots we have ever seen! From the bride’s ruffled blue dress to the adorable pug in a bowtie, everything about it makes us smile. Mandy and Zoe of Dottie Creations and Dottie Photography did all the styling, stationery, and photography themselves! What talented ladies. The fun signage is a super cost effective way to add some major style points to your wedding. And those red shoes – swoon!! Seriously, how cute is that pug? We love how they wrapped all the tin cans with fun sayings as well. Chelsea and Gareth, the models, looked stunning!

Such a fun and colorful dessert table! Yes indeed! What a cute and easy prop!! Thanks Mandy and Zoe for letting us feature your work! Giant Paper Rose Flower. If you loved the beautiful DIY wedding this morning and Nata’s gorgeous paper flower bouquets, you are in luck as Nata is sharing how she crafted them with us! She was inspired by a template created by Morgan Levine on Martha Stewart (as was I in the flowers I created for this styled shoot). I just love that this basic idea has inspired different brides to create their own version of giant paper flowers – you might remember these equally awesome giant paper flowers from this wedding I shared last year. :) Thanks so much Nata for sharing how you created your giant pink paper rose + special thanks to Studio Castillero for the photos of the DIY + her wedding!

Materials (to make one giant rose) Step 1: Cut the petals Cut 5-6 teardrop petals and 15-6 heart-shaped petals from the petal colored crepe paper. IMPORTANT: Crepe paper is directional so it matters which way you’re cutting the paper. Repeat until all of your petals are cut Step 2: Cut the leaves + calyx Step 3: Make the rose stem. DIY | will you be my bridesmaid? & Something Turquoise {daily bridal inspiration} I am in love with today’s DIY.

It’s a very special way to ask your besties to be a part of your special day! Don’t just blurt it out… “Will you be my bridesmaid!!??” Take time to plan something nice for your friends… they are going to have to put up with your every demand for the future months. Treat them to something nice like this special box below… Pin Start by marking lines on the top of your box to create guides for stamping. Since our stamping is aligned at the right, I started stamping from the right side; or backwards. If your box top is like mine, it might sag a little towards the middle… make sure you apply even pressure with your stamp. I always like to test out each stamp along the way… check twice and stamp once. Keep stamping until it reads, “Will you be my…”. Since the box had a slight texture to it, I had to fill in some little spots with a fine black marker.

When your ink is finally dry, carefully erase your guide lines. Now we are going to start wrapping! So cute!!! Thats it! DIY 52 Things I Love About You.
