ReMadeSimple. CONFESSIONS OF A PLATE ADDICT. The Creek Line House. Inspired By Felicity Blog. 50 Crafts and Projects Using Recycled, Repurposed, & Upcycled Cans {Saturday Inspiration & Ideas} Bath Salts Recipe: DIY Wedding Shower Favors. Posted on January 18, 2012 by Christina DIY bath salts are probably the easiest and most economical DIY favors known to man, er woman – especially with this bath salts recipe. Talk about bang for your buck! Which of your female guests wouldn’t love a luxurious soak in a tub filled with gorgeous aromas and pure, skin-softening salts?

I especially loved this DIY wedding project because it gave me an excuse to open my potions cupboard. You see, way back when I used to be a soap maker extraordinaire and I still have all of my luscious essential oils tucked away in a cupboard. I jump at any chance to unscrew the lids and inhale deeply:) Aromatherapy indeed! I think this would be a fabulous shower gift. Bath Salts Recipe (Fills two 150 ml containers) 3/4 cup Epsom salts 1/2 cup coarse sea salt 1/4 cup baking soda 8 drops essential oil food coloring Mix all of your dry ingredients in a large bowl.

If there are lumps, crush them. Using a whisk, mix in the essential oil and food coloring. Mamie Jane's. I celebrated a birthday earlier this month and never showed you the fabulous gift I received from my son. My very own compound miter saw! And yes.....it is exactly what I asked for! My son may not always understand me but he is very supportive of all my crazy ideas.

I wanted to start with an easy project and it didn't take long to figure out what to cut first. Ever since I made the tiered pie plate stand pictured below (posted here), I have wanted to make another one using a wood rolling pin as the center support. No problem now. The miter saw cut effortlessly through the wood to give me the pieces I needed for my tiered pie plate stand. Once the pieces were cut it was easy assembly. Initially I did not plan to have the red base piece on the stand. I'm thinking this would be a cute piece in the kitchen to hold spices. Or maybe an overripe banana or two. I'm declaring my first miter saw project a success. I think I'm going to have fun with this thing. Have a wonderful evening. Jane.
