Boron the Snowy Owl. I may have finished making the band, but I'm not done yet! Here is Boron, King of the Ga'hoole tree. He is one of the easiest owls I have made so far, but I really like how he turned out. You can also use this pattern to make Queen Baran. P.S. Twilight the Great Grey Owl. Here is Twilight! He's not the reason I called my blog Great Grey Crochet; I just like great grey owls. Though, he is one of my most favorite characters. I didn't think it could get much harder then Digger, but I think Twilight is a lot more difficult. His basic form is very simple, but embroidering his feathers isn't so simple. So have Fun! Thus ends the making of the band! Assembly:Get ready. Scrat's Acorn. Scrat the Squirrel. SCRAT!!! I'm a huge Scrat fan (though I'm not sure why) so I crocheted this nutty buddy. I crocheted him because the new movie Ice Age 4 is coming out. But if you make him, make sure you crochet his nut, too. ; ) Note: If you do not have an acorn for Scrat to hold onto, you may want to make his arms shorter. I designed this for my 7 month old niece, Danika. I discovered when I took Danika into the room I stay in while at my parents’, the only thing to I had to offer her to play with was a very plain, crocheted cotton coaster… she loved it! The size and thickness of coasters make it easy for her to grasp and manipulate them. I made this one just for her. It’s bright colors and interesting shape should be quite stimulating for her little brain. I hope to make more themed coasters for her in the future.

Thanks. My most popular pattern! I have been a lifelong admirer of penguins; I even did a school project on penguins in first grade. In the past few years, the general public has grown an obsession with penguins as well (I blame it on Happy Feet and March of the Penguins). Now I hate telling people I am penguin lover because we feel like people think I just jumped on the bandwagon or something. Anyway... Since everyone loves penguins now, and it's getting to that time of the year where people start decorating with winter-y elements including these cute little guys, I decided to whip up something and share the pattern with you!
