The two friends, co-founders of Faith & Fortune, a fledgling online apparel company, liked the idea and wanted to try something similar in their town of Beverly, Massachusetts. Maandag 5 december 2011 om 20:37 uur Arnhems eerste Pop-upstore is geopend! Food-designer en kunstenaar Nick Twaalfhoven (oprichter van Doperwt) en kok Roald van Rosendal (kok bij visrestaurant Fish ‘n Dish) bundelen hun krachten in een concept waar kunst en eten centraal staan. Er kan worden genoten van de kunst van Nick Twaalfhoven in een huiselijke sfeer met goede muziek; onder het genot van de lekkernijen geserveerd door Roald van Rosendal. Een greep uit het menu: Pompoensoep, kreeftsoep met brood, verse broodjes garnalenkroketten en natuurlijk vers gemaakte espresso en cappuccino.
Het initiatief kwam tot stand doordat Nick en Roald verschillende winkelpanden in de omgeving leeg zagen staan. Om deze leegstand tegen te gaan leek het hen een goed idee om kort lopende projecten te organiseren waar twee vliegen in één klap worden geslagen.
