The entire content of our BA (Hons) Contemporary Screen Acting Programme at the University of the West of Scotland is delivered using Twitter, Posterous and Youtube at the very core of Teaching , Learning and , crucially Assessement. Social media group. The first of the Social Media support group meetings (SMG) was held in Paisley yesterday and I am delighted with how it went!!
A good number of people came for whole or part of the time at all different levels of familiarity with social media. After introducing ourselves we had a general discussion about what we were already using and for what purposes. The bulk of the discussion was however around the use of Twitter. To this end I have put together a new Twitter account for this group – UWSsmg.

@CarolFerries from @CareersUWS was to lead the session. She started by explaining that she uses Twitter professionally to broadcast links and jobs and any other interesting information that may be useful to students from the employability link at UWS.
