Photographic Series Showing What 200 Calories Looks Like in Different Foods

WiseGEEK just conducted a very visual and informative study and presented a photo series, which compares what 200 calories actually look like in different foods. You’d think that even with Summer coming up, a handful of gummy bears couldn’t hurt much, right..? Well, turns out, just 51 gram of those gives you the same amount of calories as nearly 600 grams of broccoli or 3 whole eggs would. The study compares 71 different foods, and is originally organized going from low to high calorie density.

Apples (385 grams / 13.5 oz) Butter (28 grams / 0.98 oz) Broccoli (588 grams / 20.7 oz) Snickers Chocolate Bar (41 grams / 1.45 oz) Cooked Pasta (145 grams / 5.11 oz) Hot Dogs (66 grams / 2.33 oz) Why “Clean Eating” is a Myth - Evidence Magazine. My Support for the Widely Hated Miley Cyrus. Miley has been in the headlines quite a bit lately and seems to be consuming our attention with an array of different thoughts forming from her new songs and VMA performance–mostly which are negative.

My Support for the Widely Hated Miley Cyrus

And I understand that, because at first glance I think many of us are caught off-guard and confused, and our religious brain tells us to reject what we’re seeing and pray it out of our heads in the name of Jesus. But my question is, are we missing something, some piece behind the tabloids, that would help us make sense of Miley’s recent actions? Have you seen Miley’s new music video for her second single, Wrecking Ball? It is…revealing, to say the least. Miss Cyrus swings around on a wrecking ball, kisses a sledge hammer, and flaunts her tongue in a promiscuous manner amidst many other subsequent actions. After I watched it, I was sad. And then I came across this statement from her about the Wrecking Ball music video: Let’s get something straight. Je wilt hulp. Word je gepest?

Step 6: Upgrade Your Brain. Your intelligence is infinite.

Step 6: Upgrade Your Brain

Intelligence is not fixed. Studies have shown repeatedly that with training, supplements, and time – intelligence can always be increased. Neuroplasticity – your ability to reshape your nervous system and brain – is proven to exist and we even know how to increase it. However, your mindset often dictates your boundaries of intellectual capacity. How you think and perceive the world impacts your intelligence and ability to rise to a challenge.

People who believe intelligence is fixed are the ones who never reach their full potential. I’ve been brain hacking even longer than I’ve been hacking my body. 1. Sleep Hacking Part 1: How to sleep less & do more

I’m a biohacker, not a physician (although I’m married to one of those), and even my die-hard 80 year old antiaging friends who attend Smart Life Forum and look like they’re 60 will shake their heads at some of the techniques that let you sleep less. So, be warned before you read further: the rewards of sleep hacking are many, but the risks are higher than many other biohacking projects. And for God’s sake, don’t try to add massive muscle mass or lose tons of weight while cutting sleep. That’s a recipe for disaster. I tend to post at 2am because I have a very demanding day job as a VP level technical evangelist for a large internet security company that just doesn’t allow time for recreational blogging. Hacking sleep is one of the many ways to get more productivity every day, but it comes with a lot of risk, as explained in this awesome chart. The Fitnessista.
