My intent to visit to Cape Town was initially purely recreational but once I got there, I decided to try to capture some the essence of the city’s vibrant street life - something that I haven’t been able to do in Johannesburg both for safety and practical reasons. This particular shot was taken on a rather quiet Saturday evening, when I was walking around mostly Greenmarket square to take pictures of the craft sellers, when I heard the drumming sound coming from Long Street.
