For those of you not in the know, 'When A Stranger Calls' is a horror/thriller movie directed by Simon West, back in 2006. The story unfolds in an impressive house known as the Mandrakis Residence in the movie where the protagonist, Jill, arrives to babysit. This contemporary masterpiece of a house is luxury through and through, with a suspended gallery over the living room, internal aviary and ponds, and a plethora of state of the art home gadgetry. http://www.home-designing.com/2012/01/when-a-stranger-calls-movie-house

This 360 image was captured at the top of the Shard London Bridge, 310m above London, on the night of the student protests in November 2010. You can see the police helicopters hovering over London above the demonstration. Technically this was a very difficult shoot, I was on the crane at the top of the Shard, and I had to wave at Andy the crane driver so he knew when he could rotate 45 degrees between the exposures. The temperatures were well below freezing and if you look in the distance behind Canary Wharf you will see the snow on the hills. Technically this image is not perfect but I find it fascinating nonetheless. You can see a high resolution of the Shard under construction on this page , scroll to see the top of the Shard. http://www.willpearson.co.uk/virtual-tour/shard-360-dusk/

Sophie Windsor Clive was canoeing on the River Shannon in Ireland when she came across one of nature’s most beautiful phenomenon: a murmuration of starlings. This is when vast numbers of starlings fly together in giant, cloud-like formations. Luckily for Sophie, she had her camera handy. http://www.petapixel.com/2011/11/03/breathtaking-murmuration-of-starlings-caught-on-camera/

Fashion House | Paul Smith 2011 Liverpool, UK Architecture and Fashion | Cross Fertilisation of Disciplines There are many parallels between production of architecture and fashion. They both stem from the human need for shelter and protection whilst defending us from the elements and enemies. Venturing beyond the utilitarian and defensive, they are also capable of expressing identity and power. They may define the ‘personality’ of their ‘user’- becoming a uniform, brand and ‘icon’.
