The collective's founders, Hannah and Tom, met in college and started working together creatively whilst at university. Hannah studied Fashion Design, and Tom studied Sound for TV, Film & Game, as well as running the netlabel, Faceblast. Whilst doing her FMP, Hannah observed that subcultures always have a uniform and a sound, but no one was really merging the two. She decided to ask Tom to create the soundtrack for her clothing collection, and they came up with th idea of stitching QRcodes into the garments, that would then play the music upon interaction.
