DIY: Ljusslinga med lampskärmar * Lamp shades on a string

At work the other day I noticed that the plastic cups for mineral water looked like tiny, tiny lamp shades. Rita av muggen genom att rulla den över ett papper och rita utmed över- och undersida. Klipp ut tygbitar utifrån mallen.

How to Make a Little Bitty Button Book

We have so many fun things planned for Camp, and I’m quite sure I’ll be ready when the boys hit the door and ask “What will we do today?” Quite sure. Having said that, I decided it would be a good use of my time to design tiny little button books. Mind you, these button books have nothing to do with the Camp coming up in four days. I just couldn’t help myself. I had seen some darling little button books on Pinterest …. Our August Camp will feature Button Day, so I have been curating all things button for the last year.

Timing, however, just might not be my strong suit. FALL. I usually don't get out my fall decorations this early.

FALL

But King has been in & out of town, so more free time for craftin' & decoratin'. This is only the third year that I have lived in my "first" house and I really do not have that many fall decorations, except cheesy ones from college which are featured in my trash can. Of course, you probably already saw the pumpkin topiary which was first on my list to make and the second on my list is a front door fall wreath. All it took was a grape vine wreath, fall flowers and a mini sign. I don't really do bows; I went with the mini sign. Okay, is it just me, or does my door look stupid with a wreath. The half moon window really messes me up. Made a new rocking chair pad and changed out the flowers. {I suck at growing real flowers.} This urn sits on the far left side of our house next to the garage door.

I can't show you a picture of our whole house, cause the front porch railing needs painting, however, the wood is getting rotten & needs replacing. Picnic Roll. From Griffith Park to Prospect Park, it’s picnic season!

Picnic Roll

What could be better than packing up a basket of tasty treats for some dining al fresco? Growing up, we used to throw some sandwiches in a bag and head for the hills of Berkeley’s Tilden Park. We'd watch the hawks soaring overhead and take ride after ride on the carousel before settling down for our picnic. Now in my adopted hometown of New York City, I've discovered the fun of cosmopolitan picnicking, from evening concerts in Central Park to outdoor movies at Bryant Park! Category:DIY.
