C’est lors de son séjour à l’école que son côté créatif s’épanouit alors qu’il commence à composer des pièces de rap et à jouer au théâtre.
Il ne parvient toutefois pas à recevoir son diplôme puisque la famille part pour la Californie et s’installe à Marin City alors qu’il est âgé de 17 ans.
