They're not just the standard LEDs like you're thinkin. The last pic of MY modded light, that's all that's actually ME I posted that as an example of some moddin you can do to make the LEDS look better because that reflector gets in the way, and to show you what one looks like without the diffuser in it. You just take'em apart the same way you do with the 2g headlights, heat'em in the oven, pull'em apart, the diffuser is glued in there too, so once the lens is off, pull the diffuser out too, that's about it...
PRE MODIFICATION PREPARATION: ALWAYS do the 60k/120K tune up before you do any modifications. The 60K/120K tune involves the Timing belt, the Tensioner for the timing belt, fuel filter, spark plugs, spark plug wires, water pump, cam seals, and a few other various things. These items are CRITICAL to your cars life, and MUST be done in order to survive.
