After graduating from Harvard in 2003, Demmellash founded Rising Tide Capital (RTC), a Jersey City, New Jersey-based non-profit that stimulates low-income communities by training entrepreneurs.

Human-Centered Design is a concept in marketing that tailors the product for the user, the user is then more likely to choose that product. By applying this philosophy to a guide for NGOs and Social Enterprises it ensures these organizations a greater chance of success.
