Action Plan. During 2007 ACSEF embarked on a journey to engage the private sector more fully in setting out the economic vision and priorities for the future of the Region.
Following consultation with over 100 business leaders and the subsequent summit event, Building on Energy – the Economic Manifesto launched in August 2007 - was the initial outcome of this activity. The document set three elements: an ambitious Vision for 2025; two overarching aims of Quality of Life and Economic Growth; and seven Strategic Priorities which will help deliver the vision.
Engagement continued through to the development of ACSEF’s first five year Economic Action Plan which was launched in June 2008 and outlined the key outputs to 2013. Throughout the life of the Plan, ACSEF held reviews on each of its strategic priorities in order to monitor progress, check the validity of actions and allow the opportunity for discussion on the future direction of the Plan.
