We've had a whirlwind couple of weeks and couldn't be HAPPIER being back in our own home and routine.

We had a great Fourth with family, then headed to the airport at 4am the next day on our way to JAMAICA! We celebrated an early anniversary with a great vacation, surviving a few major minor hiccups by each other's side. We arrived back home at 12:30am extremely jet-lagged after a 6-hour layover and THEN a weather delay. I had the pleasure of donning rain boots the next two days to get straight back to work in our much-needed but very sloppy rainy weather. Clean My Space | Blog – The Best-Kept Silver Cleaning Secret Ever! Sad Lookin’ Silver We all have that tangled lump of silver jewelry sitting in a drawer, basket or box somewhere. I recently came across mine and was slightly saddened to see how tarnished it had become after a few months out of circulation… My pile included a Links of London charm, an old silver bracelet, a Tiffany ring, a few pairs of earrings, etc.

I’ve also noticed that for whatever chemical reason, my body reacts to silver and blackens it after a few wears (I believe this has to do with the alkaline balance in my body – but I am sure someone smarter than I can correct me on that). I kind of chuckle/snort/cry when I see silver polishing products. They are so utterly expensive and don’t always work. There’s got to be a better way. Saddened that my silver jewelry didn’t look as beautiful as I wanted it to, I investigated the best, most effective way to clean silver that yielded exceptional results. When you think about it….Dawn is a pretty amazing. It’s great for washing dishes, pots and pans, flatware and crystal, but all the REST of the stuff it does is what makes it really extraordinary. Who would have thought that Lemon Juice could get rid of the rust spots on your knives? Not this girl! I am a very neglectful knife owner. It's one of my flaws that I've been working on ever since last Thanksgiving when my Mom (who bought us our knife set as a gift a while back) and I were cleaning up, I went to put the knifes in the dishwasher and she looked at me appalled and told me they should not be washed in there and needed to be hand washed.

Oops! Well I've been trying since then to be good about it, but let's face the facts...I'm not. So needless to say my knifes ended up looking like this. I decided to do a little Google searching and I found out that Lemon Juice is the key. Go ahead, try it. Spring Clean Your Mattress. I’ve been making my way through the bedding in our home giving it a good Spring Cleaning. It feels so nice! Saturday we even had enough warm weather to open up the windows! My home always feels cleaner after it has been aired out a bit after the long winter. Spring cleaning mattresses is a simple process for me.

I start by removing all the bedding, including bed skirts and mattress covers… and putting it all into the wash. Next I lift the mattress and box springs off the bed and thoroughly vacuum and dust. I lay the mattress back into place and make my own special concoction. Using a kitchen strainer sprinkle the baking soda mixture all over the mattress and let it sit. Using the hose end of your vacuum and an upholstery attachment, thoroughly vacuum the mattress. The word lavender is derived from the Latin “lavare” meaning to wash….
